Leo Holmes' Roundup 20th October

We start this week’s roundup in Scotland, where Helen Oliver and Lee Treadwell took on the half dram. A multi terrain half marathon finishing in Glenfiddich. Helen finished an amazing 4th overall and first female in 1:22:16, with Lee finishing in a brilliant 1:43:51! 👏

Turning now to Amsterdam Marathon, where a number of croups were in action! A huge congratulations to:

👉 Jonny Bonville-Ginn: 2:43:19

👉 Elliott Hardee: 2:53:05

👉 Jess Wadey: 3:31:47

👉 Alfie Sargeant: 3:04:41 - his second marathon in as many weeks, running almost 30 seconds quicker!

👉 Dave Thomas: 2:58:49

👉 Rachel Lammin: 3:40:49

👉 Owen Rivers: 3:10:10

👉 Matt Watkins: 3:08:21

York marathon also took place on Sunday and we had one member participating. A huge well done to Phil Gatley, who crossed the line in a fab 4:01:32 👏

Closer to home, lots of the club took part in the Taff trail half on Sunday, coordinated by Cardiff running events!

George Collinson was🥉 overall in 1:16:14. Dan Drummond recorded a brilliant 1:21:26, James Prosser a fab 1:21:14, and Carl Nealon ran a brilliant 1:33:05! Great running everyone 👏

Elsewhere in the half we had three croups participating in Rome. Sam Griffiths recorded a brilliant 1:12:19, followed by a crowd of Palsers: Mark finishing in 1:29:08 and Cez in 2:00:39 👏

Lastly, but very much not least, we have results from the Great South 10 miler in Portsmouth!

Louise Flynn finished under the hour in a brilliant 59:29, recording 🥇 F40!

Yvonn & Richie Bullen also took part, revisiting a race they love. They finished in 1:18:42 and 1:09:41 respectively. Angharad Parry - Jones rounded off the croups representation, finished in a brilliant 1:56:29 👏
